The first weekend of March I was fortunate enough to attend my very first blog conference right here in The Woodlands. For those of you asking “what is a blog conference?” It is where other bloggers, social media gurus and tech savvy people come together to learn more about improving their site or their blog. I learned so much and was even more grateful to meet some of the fantastic bloggers I know in person. This conference was called the Thrive Blog Conference and I will post a recap of our speakers next week. Above is a picture of just a few of the supremely awesome girls I have in my blog tribe.
Friday afternoon we all met up and did a photo shoot in Hughes Landing with the wonderful photographer Aimey from Diamond Oak Photography. It can be a lot of work photographing nine ladies! After our shoot, we went back to the gorgeous new Embassy Suites in Hughes Landing for happy hour and party time!!! I refrained from showing off my tubular dance moves because I basically look like a worm in a rain puddle when I dance. It isn’t pretty.
These were my gorgeous roomies for the weekend minus Natalie. She was stuck in the wonderful Houston traffic.

I’ve always wanted to go to a blog conference! Blogging really can feel so lonely since it’s just me and the computer all of the time, and I’d love to finally meet some of the bloggers that I work with and read in real life. I seriously need to up my blogger style game because you gals make my jeans and t-shirts routine look bad! 😀 😀
Natalie, a conference is a great way to meet other bloggers and make “online friends.” It can be a lonely job since its just us and our computers. I look up other Houston based bloggers and reach out to them to meet up for coffee etc. Now a bunch of us are friends and hang out regularly. Maybe see if there are other bloggers in your town or near you?
I can’t wait to hear more about the blog conference…I’m brand new to blogging so I’d love to attend one. But now I’m afraid I wouldn’t have anything chic enough to wear!!!
Stacy, I am posting a recap of the actual conference and our speakers on Sunday! For the actual conference we wore jeans and more low key outfits! Those pictures were just for a photoshoot before drinks on Friday!

Maybe next year you can come! I would LOVE to meet you in person! I know all of the local ladies but I loved meeting some of the out of towners. You start to feel like you really know the other bloggers because you spend so much time talking to them online!
