If there is one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love spa treatments. I am pretty much open to trying anything once. Glo Sun Spa in Market Street The Woodlands asked me to collaborate with them and I thought Yeah! I love a great spray tan, why not. I know a few people who have their own spray tans their own spray times at home, and I’ve heard of people using something similar to these Afterpay DIY spray tan machines. I have never used them but I wanted get a tan myself. I decided to take a look at their site and saw that Glo offered so much more than just spray tans.
When I arrived at Glo, the staff was very welcoming and informative on all the treatments I would be receiving. They took me back to one of the treatment rooms and gave me a plush robe to change into.
The first treatment I tried was called the Lumiere Excel red light therapy.
I was given a pair of tanning goggles to protect my eyes. Then, I layed down in a zero gravity chair and spent twenty minutes in total relaxation. The lumiere is a red light therapy machine. Red light therapy can be used to treat a growing list of skin conditions including:
- acne
- rosacea
- eczema
- psoriasis
- cold sores and herpes
- everyday cuts, scrapes burns & bruises
I had a bad bout of hormonal acne on my chin last week. After using a lot of acne medicine to spot treat, I was left with three bad, red scar marks on my chin. I will admit that I was skeptical, but after one therapy and two days later, the scaring is almost non-existent! There is zero pain and zero down time with this treatment.
Next, I tried out the hydration station. This is an advanced capsule that provides a combination of topical radiant heat and steam, LED color technology, in a vibratory bed. The combination leaves your summer skin looking soft and supple. I knew I would be getting a spray tan before I left and wanted it to last as long as possible.
