Two Fall Fashion Trends I’m Actually Wearing

Fall fashion is officially on my mind, and this year I’m especially drawn to trends that are actually easy to wear in real life. Two that keep showing up in my closet are pants that aren’t jeans and leopard print.

I’m done pretending jeans are the most comfortable thing in my closet. This fall, I’m fully leaning into pants that are actually wearable, comfortable, and still feel chic.

Today I am sharing simple ways to make your everyday fall outfits feel a little more interesting without completely changing how you dress. These are just two of the fall fashion trends I’m actually wearing and how I’m styling them this season!

Pants for Fall That Aren’t Jeans

Jeans may be a fall staple, but sometimes you want something a little different. From relaxed trousers to utility pants and softer everyday styles, these are the fall pants I’m loving when denim just isn’t the move. They’re comfortable, easy to style, and work for everything from school drop-off and errands to lunch, work, and weekend plans.

I love the contrast of sporty black pants with a bright pop of red. The white side stripe ties back to the basic tee and sneakers, while the sweater over the shoulders adds another layer without committing to a full fall outfit when the temperatures are still warm.

Top | Sweater | Pants | Shoes

Camo pants are back in my fall rotation, and I like keeping everything else simple so the print does the work. A gray tee, navy layer tied at the waist, and woven flats make these wide leg cargos feel more wearable for everyday instead of overly utilitarian.

Top | Pants | Sneakers

These lightweight side stripe pants are perfect for the days when comfort is the priority. A simple white tee and sneakers keep the look clean and casual, and the soft gray color makes them easy to mix with other neutrals now and layer with a jacket once it cools down.

A neutral wide leg pant can take the place of jeans in so many fall outfits. I paired this pair with a cropped utility jacket and sneakers for an outfit that feels casual but still put together. The tonal colors also make this an easy formula to recreate with pieces you already own.

Top | Pants | Sandals | Bag

Chocolate brown is such a good fall alternative to black, and these pants are such a good alternative to jeans! I love them paired with a denim top and simple sandals.

Styling Leopard Print This Fall

For fall, I love treating leopard like a neutral. It adds interest without making an outfit feel too busy, and it works with so many pieces already in your closet. These leopard pants can go dressier with a simple black top or more casual with a denim shirt, while a leopard flat is an easy way to bring the print into an otherwise simple look.

Top | Pants | Heels | Bag

A simple black top is one of the easiest ways to wear leopard for fall. It lets the print stand out while keeping the rest of the outfit sleek and simple.

Top | Pants | Flats | Bag

Denim and leopard always work well together for fall. I love how the cropped denim shirt makes the printed pants feel more casual and everyday.

Leopard flats are a great way to try the print without wearing it head to toe. They add just enough interest to jeans, trousers, or a simple dress.

Those are two fall trends I’m having a lot of fun with this season. Whether you’re swapping denim for a more comfortable pair of pants or adding a little leopard to your outfit, these are easy ways to make fall dressing feel a little more interesting.
