Hello and Happy Monday!
I was sitting around the pool on Sunday with my girlfriends and we were all discussing how we are genuinely happy with being in our mid thirties and we wouldn’t want to go back to high school or college. We are glad we aren’t in our twenties anymore and we just feel like we are finally figuring out what life is all about. Great People and Great Times! The kids were swimming and playing backyard t-ball with our husbands, we were talking fashion and vacations and life was just great!
We started to talk about clothing trends and at what age do you stop wearing some of them. Of course everyone agreed mini skirts were out the door even if you have killer legs!!!
How many of you out there are scared to try out the distressed denim trend right now? I won’t lie and admit I was too. I kind of felt like, gee I’m in my mid thirties, should I be trying to look like a 20 year old? I mean yeah, I wish I looked like I did at 20 but that’s just not going to happen again!!! However, I think with the right amount of distressing you can rock this trend at any age.
I took the plunge and originally borrowed these jeans from one of my best friends before buying them myself. I loved the edgy look and the distressed look felt really fun for the spring. I paired them with my favorite t-shirt and these deliciously comfortable lace-up sandals.
How cute are these tassel bracelets? I adore them and they just add a pop of fun to any outfit! This is also my FAVORITE cross body bag. I have owned it for two years and it looks brand new. I can fit my wallet, keys, phone and lipstick in it and then, if need be, I wrap the chain around it and throw it in the diaper bag!

These jeans are super cute… I am rocking distressed jeans… because all my jeans are super old haha.
Mine aren’t as distressed as these, but I wear them and I am 66. If you can rock the trend, why not!

You look fabulous! I think that anyone can wear distressed denim it just all depends on HOW distressed the denim is! If my mum ever tried walking out of the house with massive holes in her jeans, I think I would faint!

As always, I love your outfits! I love pairing distressed jeans with a cute pair of heels and a sleek top! I’m in my mid twenties, but I don’t see my style evolving much father than where it is right now. I’m not super trendy, but when I find a trend I can’t live without, I do splurge! I love classic pieces, and I feel your outfit is the perfect balance of trendy and a casual classy! Great color choices, too!
