TODAY’S THE DAY!!!  Hook me up to a coffee IV and remind me to drink some Redbull because mama’s been up since 2am when the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale went LIVE!  It’s Day 1 for CARDHOLDERS and luckily, I’m a cardholder! I was like Cher from Clueless and shopped like a boss yesterday and have some great pieces to share with you.

I honed in on my VERY FAVORITE items at this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale instead of showing Every. Single. Piece. Strategy Talk:  Before you get started take heed…Nordstrom has FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURNS.  I wouldn’t spend my time browsing around all willy nilly and then waiting until Saturday to check out.  Your items will be SOLD OUT!  I didn’t listen to my own advice and missed out on the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan last year.  I will highlight the items I think are going to sell extremely fast.

These are my top 3 MUST HAVE budget friendly pairs of jeans and my one splurge pair of jeans.  I love these jeans with all my heart and that’s saying a lot when you are pear shaped and finding jeans is harder than swimming across the Atlantic.  They are wildly popular every year and sizes will go fast.

BUDGET FRIENDLY:

MADEWELL JEANS– Left. These will sell out very quickly.  My store was already out of a few sizes.  These jeans are high waisted, button front with very slight distressing marks.  If I was still teaching I could wear these to work.  They run true to size and under $100.

BLANK NYC JEANS– Center. These are more on the trendy side with a raw hem ankle but they do not have any distressing.  I loved the dark wash and stretch.  True to size and almost under $50!

ARTICLES OF SOCIETY JEANS– Right.A great basic pair of jeans.  They have a darker wash, hemmed ankle and the perfect amount of stretch.  These jeans tend to stretch out after you start wearing them so I suggest sizing down.

SPLURGE DENIM:

AG JEANS– Let me count the ways I love these jeans.  I don’t think I have ever put on a pair of these jeans that I didn’t love.  They somehow hug in all the right places, have the softest fabric and only get better with age.  These jeans are basically an amazing bottle of wine!

Oh the stripes get me every dang year!  This year they got smart and made a long sleeve AND short sleeve version.  Layer these under cardigans, wear them with jeans, shorts, workout leggings and tennis shoes.  The options are endless.  Just go ahead and #addbothtocart

LONGSLEEVE TOP– sm, I bought this in white last year and it was one of my most worn tops.  This is perfect layered with vests and cardigans.  Available in 7 colors!

I am adding both of these tops to the must have list.  The button up grey henley top will sell out FAST.  Mark my word!  It also comes in an oatmeal color which I also loved.  You really can’t go wrong with either color.  This top runs true to size.  I’m wearing a small for size reference.

I bought the turtleneck version of the blush v-neck last year in two colors.  It was one of my top sellers.  This year they totally improved this top by making it a v-neck.  If I must leak a secret about myself, it’s that I have a secret deep love for v-neck tops.  I sized up in this top.

These moto leggings would be AMAZE with this wubby fleece they brought back from last winter and these new black striped sneakers.  I am dying to get these on my feet!  Give me all the comfy athlesiure for winter.

 

 

This blush cardigan is always one of my favorite pieces.  I bought it last year in cream and it hasn’t let me down yet.  These cardigans do run big so I would size down one OR two sizes.  This item will sell out fast.

If you aren’t a fan of faux leather, I got you covered!  These cotton moto leggings come in olive green and a washed dark grey/black color.  I am wearing a medium.

This top was really pretty.  I liked the length and the sleeves.  You can dress it up for the office or take it more casual for a daytime look.  I am also in love with this reversible necklace.  One side has darker shades and the other lighter blush tones.

LOUNGE WRAP– This is a must have for everyone.  I wore it to every cold early morning soccer game and took it on every flight.  This is also a nursing friendly top.  I wear it with leggings and tennis shoes to the grocery store weekly in the fall and winter or over my pajamas.  Mine is so worn, I need to invest in a new one.

 

SHOES

I will go more in depth on shoes for Friday’s post.  My store didn’t have the biggest selection so I will have more of a run down after going to the large Nordy.  In the mean time these are the shoes I have that were so good they brought them back for round 2.

 

These are going to fly off the shelf! I mean a wedge and a sneaker all rolled into one.  Talk about amazing looking legs with the comfort of a tennis shoe.  #GENIUS.  These run true to size.  CHECK OUT NOW!

TALL BOOTS– I bought these last year in dark brown and they are back again in a light cream color.  I can’t wait to get my hands on these!!!

This year’s verson… These tall boots are true beauties!  I was surprised how comfortable they were and I love the gorgeous lighter color this year.

LOW HEEL BOOTIE

These boots were made for walking!  The low heel is perfect for running around town.  The leather was super soft.  These will need little to no breaking in.  The woven details on the top and the side notches took these boots to the next level.

I bought these last year and wore them countless times.  You know they are good when you walk around NOLA in them for four hours!
