Mother’s Day

This is a day filled with so many emotions and gratitude.  Five years ago I became a mother for the first time and three years ago my daughter was born two days before Mother’s Day.  I love being a mom and even though I am sad my babies are growing up, I am also excited to see the people they are becoming.  Pierce and Paige are best friends and love to explore bugs together, dig in the mud and help in the garden.

This year  for Mother’s Day, we are going to the beach to relax and have some quality family time.  We will be attending a Mother’s Day Brunch hosted by the San Luis Resort this year down in Galveston.  They always have a gorgeous spread of food along with a butterfly release this year!  The kids will be head over heals about this because they just learned about the butterfly life cycle at preschool.  I plan on wearing this beautiful floral maxi dress to brunch.  I love the movement of the dress and the way the belt accentuates the waist.  I paired it with a nude wedge because I find they are easier to walk in compared to a heel.  You could easily wear a flat sandal as well.  The blue is such a stunning color on all skin tones.   This dress comes in a blush as well as lavender. I also plan on wearing this to a wedding in June!

I also did something I have NEVER done…I ordered a strapless bra online before trying it on!!! I know, you are gasping and thinking OHHH NOOOO I would NEVER buy a bra without trying it on.  Well, I DID only because it has a 5 star rating with almost 200 user reviews.  I bought my normal size and it fits like a dream.  Dare I say I love a strapless bra?!?!

How stunning is this blush colored ring surrounded by black and white rhinestones from BelleBijoux?  Amy   Because the neckline was high I opted to wear a simple earring, bangles and this stunner of a ring.  I love that this ring is adjustable so I can wear it on any finger.

Here is my crazy crew gearing up for Mother’s Day!  We love to be silly and have fun, because after all, isn’t that what life is all about?!?!  What are your plans for Mother’s Day? A day of pampering, sleeping in, relaxing at the house? I’d love to hear what everyone does for Mother’s Day.
